Privacy Policy

Conectando Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information of those who use our services (hereinafter referred to as "Users") and is committed to ensuring its protection. We comply with the Personal Information Protection Law, business sector-specific guidelines set by administrative authorities, and other relevant laws and regulations. Personal information and related data will be handled in accordance with the following policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy").

The solo and only governing language of this Agreement shall be Japanese. If an English translation hereof is made for reference purposes, only the Japanese version shall be regarded as original and have the effect of a contract, and such English translation shall have no legal effect.

Article 1 (Scope of Application)

This Policy applies to all services provided by the Company. The Company may establish separate privacy policies or terms of use for specific services (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Individual Terms"). In cases where the handling of information is specified separately in Individual Terms, the provisions of the Individual Terms will take precedence.

Article 2 (Acquisition of Personal Information, etc.)

The Company will handle information obtained through lawful and fair means. The personal information obtained from Users may be used across various services and operations. Personal information refers to "personal data" as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the Personal Information Protection Law (Law No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as "the Law"). In cases where the information does not qualify as personal information, the Company will still handle it with due care. (In this Policy, personal information and other User information not classified as personal information will collectively be referred to as "Personal Information, etc.").

Article 3 (Purpose and Scope of Use of Personal Information)

1.The Company will use Personal Information, etc. for purposes related to service provision, prevention or correction of improper use, creation of statistical data for service improvement, service announcements (including campaigns), conducting surveys, responding to inquiries, identity verification, notifications, and other related purposes. Personal Information will not be used beyond the scope necessary to achieve these purposes, except as noted below.
2.If the Company intends to use Personal Information, etc. for purposes other than those specified above, the Company will notify or announce the purpose to the User. However, the following cases are exceptions:
(1) When notifying or announcing the purpose may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party.
(2) When notifying or announcing the purpose may harm the Company’s rights or legitimate interests.
(3) When cooperation with national or local governmental agencies is necessary for the execution of legally mandated duties, and notifying or announcing the purpose may hinder such execution.
(4) When it is apparent from the circumstances that the purpose of use is clear.

Article 4 (Outsourcing Information Management)

The Company may outsource the management of Personal Information, etc. to the extent necessary. In such cases, the Company will ensure proper information management by the subcontractor, including enforcing strict information management obligations.

Article 5 (Management of Personal Information)

The Company will implement necessary and appropriate measures, including managing access to Personal Information, restricting means of taking Personal Information out, and preventing unauthorized external access, to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of Personal Information, etc., and ensure its security. These measures will apply to both employees and subcontractors.

Article 6 (Notification of Purpose of Use)

If a User or their agent requests notification of the purpose of use of their Personal Information, etc., the Company will notify the individual without delay. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
(1) When the purpose of use is evident.
(2) When notifying or announcing the purpose may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party.
(3) When notifying or announcing the purpose may harm the Company’s rights or legitimate interests.
 (4) When cooperation with national or local governmental agencies is necessary for the execution of legally mandated duties, and notifying or announcing the purpose may hinder such execution.

Article 7 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

If a User or their agent requests disclosure of Personal Information, etc., the Company will respond without delay, except in the following cases:
 (1) When disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party.
(2) When disclosure may significantly hinder the proper execution of the Company’s business.
(3) When disclosure would violate the law.

Article 8 (Correction of Personal Information)

If a User or their agent requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") of their Personal Information, etc., on the grounds that it is inaccurate, the Company will investigate without delay. If the request is deemed valid, the Company will promptly make the Correction, etc.

Article 9 (Suspension of Use)

1.If a User or their agent requests suspension of use or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension, etc.") of their Personal Information, etc., on the grounds that it was obtained without consent or beyond the necessary scope for the achievement of the purpose of use, the Company will investigate without delay. If the request is deemed valid, the Company will promptly suspend the use or delete the relevant Personal Information, etc.
2.If a User or their agent requests the suspension of provision of their Personal Information, etc. to third parties, on the grounds that it was provided to third parties unlawfully, the Company will investigate without delay. If the request is deemed valid, the Company will promptly suspend the provision of Personal Information, etc. to third parties.

Article 10 (Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies)

1.The Company may collect preference information, usage history, and other information related to Personal Information, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "Usage Information") from cookies and IP addresses to improve service convenience, distribute advertisements, and create statistical data for the purposes described in Article 3.
2.The Company may use the Usage Information collected in a form that does not allow identification of individuals or in a form that cannot be matched with Personal Information, without restriction.
3.Users can refuse the use of cookies by disabling cookies in their browser settings. However, disabling cookies may result in certain inconveniences when using the service.

Article 11 (Revisions)

If this Privacy Policy is revised, the Company will notify Users.
